July 23, 2007 — Vince Gill tells the Charlottesville, Va., Daily Progress< that he wonders if his fans will remember his current Fruit of the Loom commercial at concert time. "I can see it happen,'' he says. "People will start requesting it. 'Do the apple song.'''

Lately Vince has been pleased to be touring with the apple of his eye — wife Amy Grant, who has had decades of success on the Christian and pop charts, and the bluegrass powerhouse the Del McCoury Band.

Vince's frequent tours with Amy, whom he married in 2000, tend to delight the performers as well as the fans. Folks who enjoy the couple's gentle rapport and vocal harmonies will want to mark their calendars for August 3, when the couple is scheduled to perform on NBC's "Today.''

"Maybe we're the modern-day Sonny and Cher,'' Vince says. "She's the kindest soul who's ever walked this Earth.''

Another advantage to touring with his wife is that their daughter, 6-year-old Corrina, can come along. "It's like a summer vacation,'' Gill says. "I hate leaving [alone for tours]. I've been traveling for 35 years.'' The family is now enjoying about a month at home before heading out for a couple of weeks of shows out West.

The proud papa said that he and Corrina share a special musical bond — Beatlemania. "She can already sing in tune,'' Vince says. "I've turned her on to the Beatles. She named her guinea pig Paul McCartney. We've turned 'Yesterday' into a lullaby.''
