August 22, 2007 — Bucky Covington says the songwriters of his Top 5 hit, "A Different World," would probably have no problem finding material to write a sequel to the song. According to Bucky, the world and technology continue to change at a very rapid pace.

For example, he tells Dial-Global how amazing he finds it that the DVD player has not only replaced the VCR but made it a rare artifact. "I remember when the DVD player came out," he says. "It was, 'That's so stupid, what's wrong with a VCR?' I had somebody tape a session of "American Idol" so I could watch it for the "Larry King" show. They put it on a VCR tape, they brought it to the office and everything, and I couldn't find a VCR to watch it on. I didn't have one at home, I didn't have one at the office. I was like, 'That is so weird,' because they used to be everywhere. You know, everybody had a VCR. So imagine, man, how many VCRs are laying in landfills."

Bucky will switch gears a bit with his next single, "It's Good to Be Us," which he recently released to country radio.
