October 1, 2007 Martina McBride is set to re-release her 1998 holiday album, White Christmas, with four new tracks: "Hark! The Herald Angles Sing," "Winter Wonderland," "Jingle Bells," and her Dean Martin duet "Baby It's Cold Outside" (released last year by Capitol Records).
"I love Christmas music and it was so hard for me to pick only a few of my favorite songs when we first recorded the album," Martina says. " So when I got the chance to go back and add some other favorites I had missed, I was very excited. I knew I wanted to add the Dean Martin duet and after performing our Christmas show for the past several seasons, it made me want to add crowd favorites like 'Winter Wonderland' and 'Hark the Herald Angels Sing' and of course 'Jingle Bells'! How did I miss that one last time?"
Ironically, Martina produced the new cuts during the intense heat of July in the middle of one of the worst droughts Music City has seen in years. "I have to admit, it wasn't easy to forget the temps were in the 100s while I sang 'Jingle Bells'!" she laughs.
White Christmas, which will also include all new artwork, will be released tomorrow (October 2).
