October 11, 2007 — Tracy Byrd is teaming up with Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and Children's Miracle Network to play a free concert in Atlanta, which is being recognized as America's most charitable community.

Tracy, who is noted for his longtime support of Children's Miracle Network and contributions to his hometown children's hospital in Beaumont, Tex., will perform at the Georgia World Congress Center in downtown Atlanta on Monday, October 22.

Wal-Mart is recognizing the Atlanta market area for selling the most "miracle balloons" at Wal-Mart Stores, Neighborhood Markets, Distribution Centers and Sam's Clubs during the month of May when Wal-Mart celebrated the 20th anniversary of its partnership with Children's Miracle Network.

"It's incredible to think that buying a miracle balloon for $1 can make such an amazing difference in the health and welfare of children," Tracy says. "And what a great job Wal-Mart has done, raising more than $400 million for Children's Miracle Network hospitals since 1987! I've personally seen for years now what Children's Miracle Network does for local children's hospitals. I love performing in Atlanta anyway, but I know that our show on October 22 will be an extra good one because I plan to pull out all the stops!"

Tracy has long been devoted to this nonprofit organization that helps kids in children's hospitals throughout the U.S. and Canada. Proceeds from his annual Homecoming Weekend event have resulted in the Tracy Byrd Hyperbaric Medicine and Wound Care Center at the children's hospital in Beaumont.
