October 11, 2007 — On Deana Carter's new album, The Chain, she collaborates with her musical heroes, including Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton and George Jones, on some of country music's biggest hits.

Deana's father, legendary session guitar player Fred Carter, Jr., also performs throughout the record. Regarding the project, Deana says, "Ever since I knew that music was going to be my life's path, I've wanted to pay tribute to my dad and to the artists who were so good to me and my family. The camaraderie between them, and the way they took our family and made it part of their families, was so unique that I wanted to recapture it for a little while."

On October 14, Deana will host Fashion for EveryBody 2007 at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville. The event, emceed by Anastasia Brown, will benefit the Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee.
