October 12, 2007 — Jason Michael Carroll's life has been extremely busy in the last year since the release of his very successful debut album, and that can be hard for a father of four.
Jason, who is currently on the road with Bucky Covington on their Raisin' the Bar tour, tells Dial-Global it can be challenging to hold down a career and be a good father to his kids back home in North Carolina.
"It gets kind of rough at times, especially like when my daughter flips through a Country Weekly magazine and she sees Daddy's picture in there, and she'll call me up and she'll have a moment where it's, 'Daddy, I miss you.' My day-to-day manager is here and she'll admit I've called her up and said, 'Look, I know I wasn't supposed to go home for another two days, but the other day was just travel. Let me catch a flight out of the town we're in.' And I've done it just to try and get home and show them that I'll do whatever it takes. They know why Daddy's out here, but at the same time I want them to see that I'm trying my best to get back to them as well."
