October 30, 2007 — Rodney Atkins recently taped an episode of ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in Manchester, N.H., where host Ty Pennington and crew helped a family whose home was demolished by a devastating flood.

Rodney sang his latest No. 1, "These Are My People," as well as a few other hits for the volunteers and community. The performance was captured on video for the Voisine family so their son could watch Rodney perform his favorite song.

Rodney says taking part in the show is "probably the biggest thing" he's ever done. "This is one of those shows that is really about building people up in a culture where most thrive on reality TV and watching people fail," he says. "It's a show that is based on a community effort to help one of their own and it's an honor to be part of something that really matters."

The episode is set to air sometime during the 2007-2008 season.
