November 15, 2007 Jason Aldean will partner with Wal-Mart next month to provide fans with an exclusive original performance through the retailer's Soundcheck series.
Wal-Mart chose Aldean to be featured alongside A-list pop acts Maroon 5, Rihanna and Fall Out Boy. A bonus disc will be packaged as a companion piece to his No. 1 album, Relentless, and will also be available for purchase in the store and online beginning December 2.
A segment of the hi-definition performance will be featured nationwide in more than 3,000 stores on Wal-Mart TV throughout the month of December, as well as on the company's website. Soundcheck was taped earlier this fall in a Nashville studio and includes Jason's hit singles "Hicktown," "Why," "Amarillo Sky" and "Johnny Cash," his current single, "Laughed Until We Cried," and exclusive interview footage.
Relentless, Jason's second album, has propelled him to the front lines of country music this year with first-week sales totaling more than 98,000 units. Jason, who has been honing his live performance skills in bars and clubs since he was 14 years old, just wrapped a yearlong tour with Rascal Flatts. Fans can catch him headlining a series of his own shows in the coming months.
