November 30, 2007 — Craig Morgan recently dropped 30 pounds from his 5'10" frame, and he details the lifestyle changes that led to his weight loss in the current issue of People magazine.

In a special BodyWatch feature, "Country Stars Slimdown," Craig, an Army veteran, tells how he decided to reincorporate his military workout regimen into his daily routine last year after a fan handed him a recent photograph of himself to sign.

"My face looked puffy and my shirt looked tight," he says. "I thought, 'I look huge!'" That incident motivated Craig to swap pizza and fried food for lighter fare like sashimi and fresh fruit. He now travels with a portable gym, and his workout routine includes 500 sit-ups, 200 push-ups and crunches and a two-mile run at least three days a week. Morgan and his new physique were photographed for the magazine this summer in Rock Springs, Wyo.

Craig's current single, "International Harvester," is the No. 18 most downloaded country song on iTunes, and his weekly CD sales have more than doubled since the single hit the airwaves. The song is rapidly climbing the country radio charts, reaching an audience of close to 10 million listeners a week. "International Harvester," sung from the perspective of the guy driving the tractor that is holding up traffic, is the third consecutive hit single from Craig's current CD Little Bit of Life.

Craig, who is wrapping up a busy fall touring schedule, is spending as much time as possible in Nashville in between shows writing songs for his new CD, scheduled for release in 2008. He will conclude the year with a hometown show on New Year's Eve at Nashville's Wildhorse Saloon.
