December 12, 2007 The script for Toby Keith's Beer for My Horses has finally been completed, and filming will begin in February and run through March, according to All Access.
"We're shooting the first week in Oklahoma where it starts at, and we're shooting the rest of the movie somewhere around Santa Fe and Albuquerque, New Mexico," Toby says.
Toby reports that country comedian and actor Rodney Carrington had a hand in writing the script and co-stars in the film, which includes a big role for Ted Nugent. "There's a lot of people you're going to recognize in this movie," he says. "We're just now starting our casting."
So far, besides Rodney and Toby, who play deputy sheriffs, and Ted, who plays a character named "Skunk," the only other cast members set are a cameo for Mel Tillis and a part has been written for Willie Nelson if his schedule permits. Toby describes the movie as an "action-adventure film that is also situationally funny."
