Drink Your Milk, Sing With Rascal Flatts

January 16, 2008 — Milk Rocks — and so will one fan of Rascal Flatts.

The band is launching a contest for the Milk Rocks! nutrition campaign that will provide one fan an opportunity to sing on stage with Rascal Flatts. That's the most visible part of the package, but there's more. The winner will also get to hang with the band at a meet-and-greet backstage and will have a chance to talk with an A&R executive from the group's label, Lyric Street Records. Beginning March 1, contestants are required to visit milkrocks.com and choose one of five Rascal Flatts songs for a karaoke video. As the videos get uploaded, fans will vote on the best ones, and the band will hand-pick the winner from the three top finalists on April 15.

"We have the greatest fans in the world," lead singer Gary LeVox said. "Giving our songs back to them, with the opportunity to join the band for a night, is the least we can do to say thanks. And since drinking milk is a big part of keeping our fans energized for our show, we're happy to help Milk Rocks! get their message out there."

The site for the winner's eventual performance will be determined at a later date. Rascal Flatts' 2008 tour schedule kicks off tomorrow night in Manchester, N.H.
