March 13, 2008 - With his new album "Troubadour" set to appear in stores April 1, George Strait will have a new channel, Strait Country, launched the same day on XM satellite radio. The channel will present new music from Troubadour every hour, as well as celebrating the 70-plus hits from George's career, with interviews from his friends and musical compadres.

"It's always a thrill to hear one of your songs played on the radio, but to have XM Radio dedicate an entire channel to my music is just amazing," George says. "I'm hoping fans and the millions of XM subscribers will enjoy hearing the new music from Troubadour as well as revisiting their favorites from the past."

Strait Country will remain on the air for two months, April 1 through May 31, on XM's Channel 17.
