March 19, 2008 — Happy days are here in the personal lives of two very different country artists: Newcomer Luke Bryan just became a daddy, and 1990s hitmaker Lee Roy Parnell is about to become a husband.

Luke and his wife, Caroline, had a son yesterday at a Middle Tennessee hospital. Named Thomas Boyer Bryan, he'll be referred to as "Bo." The baby weighed 6 lbs., 14 oz., and is 20 inches long.

"Watching my wife bring our son into this world is a feeling I can't even put into words," Luke says. "It's definitely one of the greatest moments in my life. Caroline and Bo are doing great."
So is Lee Roy, whose hits include the very appropriate ballad "Love Without Mercy." He met his fiancée, Julie Albertson, at a charity event sponsored by BMI and Gibson Guitars, for whom he's an official spokesman. They'll marry this fall in Nashville.
