Carrie Underwood Travels Opry "Road" on GAC

April 25, 2008 - Carrie Underwood will become the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry May 10, and GAC will present both her live induction and a half-hour special that capsulizes her incredible journey from Oklahoma broadcast student to Opry star.

Road To The Opry: Carrie Underwood will include an exclusive interview with the singer in which she discusses her life and her career, in addition to observations from Carrie’s mother, Carole; plus Opry members Vince Gill, Randy Travis and Little Jimmy Dickens.

Randy extended the invitation to Carrie to join the Opry, following her recent performance of "I Told You So," a song he originated, on GAC’s Opry Live.

Road To The Opry: Carrie Underwood debuts on GAC at 7:30 p.m. ET May 10. Carrie will be inducted the same night on Opry Live, which airs at 8 p.m. ET.
