July 23, 2008 What kinda gone will Chris Cagle be in August? That would be a progressive gone, as in the headliner on whats being billed as a progressive benefit concert.
Hes agreed to take part in a three-day series of private shows in California Aug. 12-14 that move from Sacramento to Fresno to Riverside, all intended to raise money for the Give Kids The World Village in Kissimmee, Fla. The charity is a resort that creates special events for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
"I truly enjoy the opportunity to give something back," Chris says. "But what's even more important to me is to be able to offer these children the opportunity to make a wish come true and live their dream, because that's what life is all about creating a bright and hopeful future for our children to make it a better tomorrow. I'm honored and humbled to be part of this event."
The performances are billed as a "satellite concert" and are not open to the general public. Chris has plenty of those public shows on the books already, including a high-profile appearance this Sunday at Los Angeles legendary Greek Theatre. The "What Kinda Gone" singer is the opening act that night for Dwight Yoakam.
