Jessica Simpson Comes On Over to GAC’s Top 20

Aug. 22, 2008 — Jessica Simpson faced a lot of skeptics when she first announced plans to go country, but her plan looks more and more successful every week. She’ll drop by to talk about her new direction on this week’s edition of GAC’s "Top 20 Country Countdown," guest-hosted by Suzanne Alexander.

Jessica’s first country single, "Come On Over," peaked in the Top 20 on the country singles chart, and the video ranks at No. 16 on this week’s Countdown. In addition, the first album, Do You Know, comes out Sept. 9 with Dolly Parton appearing on the title track. Jessica makes her Grand Ole Opry debut Sept. 6, is dating a professional football player and has become the national spokesperson for a beer.
