Darryl Worley Launches Christmas Cruise

Dec. 9, 2008 — Forget one-horse open sleighs and car rides to see Christmas light displays. Darryl Worley's introducing a new holiday ride, the first Christmas With Darryl Cruise.

On Friday, he's hosting a charitable trip aboard the Pickwick Belle, an authentic paddle-wheel riverboat that launches from Pickwick Landing State Resort Park near Savannah, Tennessee. The ride includes a traditional Christmas dinner and a performance by Darryl featuring holiday songs as well as his current single, "Tequila On Ice."

Tickets for the event are $125, with proceeds slated for the Darryl Worley Foundation, established in 2002 to aid needy people in Tennessee's Hardin County and McNairy County. It adds to Darryl's charitable efforts. For the last seven years, he's presented the Tennessee River Run, which features a wealth of activities in addition to concerts that have included the likes of Jason Michael Carroll, the Charlie Daniels Band, Diamond Rio, Neal McCoy and Restless Heart.
