April 6, 2009 Sara Evans has led a classic rags-to-riches existence, growing up on a Missouri farm on her way to becoming a major country star and one of People magazines Most Beautiful People in the World. Shell be the subject of a new GAC series with the Monday premiere of Backstory: Sara Evans.
The series is the only biographical documentary devoted exclusively to countrys top stars, and Saras Backstory is a perfect launch, featuring early career stories, her recovery from a crushing accident and her rise to prominence. In addition to Saras own voice, the edition also features commentary from her mother, husband, co-writers, record label president and friend Sheryl Crow.
"We've wanted to launch a series of this type for a long time," says Sarah Trahern, Senior Vice President of programming for GAC. "We're thrilled to be able to give our viewers exclusive information on the artists they love to watch."
Backstory: Sara Evans debuts at 8 p.m. ET on Monday. The next artist celebrated in the series will be Darius Rucker.
