Aug. 24, 2009 Carrie Underwoods two albums have been certified for sales of more than 9 million copies, and she spent much of last year headlining a lengthy concert tour. Its doubtful shes hurting for cash, even in a tough economy.
Nevertheless, Carrie remains cautious with her budget. In fact, more than four years after she vaulted to stardom via "American Idol," she still uses coupons to do her grocery shopping. Or, better put, she still plans to use coupons.
"I clip them, and I save them, but I forget to take them, which is kind of an important step in the whole coupon clipping process," she concedes. "Doesnt save me any money if theyre in a drawer in my kitchen. But I definitely clip them, and I always save them, and I always intend to use them."
Carries currently at work on her third album, set for release Nov. 3. In the meantime, some of her money-saving fans might be eyeing a compilation that comes out Tuesday. Now Thats What I Call Country Volume 2 features 20 recent hits, including Carries version of "I Told You So." In addition, the CD allows buyers to download an additional five tracks by new artists.
