September 22, 2009 September 18 marked the 10th anniversary of Target House a charity affiliated with the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital that provides apartments, free of charge, to families of children fighting cancer whose treatments require a stay in Memphis, Tenn. (where St. Jude is located).
Brad Paisley helped celebrate the anniversary by unveiling The Paisley Lodge, a room designed by Brad and inspired by the Paisley family cabin, urban cowboys and country music. The one-of-a-kind room includes a gaming alcove, western palettes, distressed pool table and 6-Fender guitar chandelier.
Brad was unable to attend the unveiling due to his touring schedule, but his wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, was there.
"I am lucky to have had the opportunity to partner with Target House and design a room that resembles our family cabin," said Brad in a statement. "We hope that the space helps Target House families feel at home during what is sure to be an extremely scary and challenging time. I hope this serves as a comfortable space where children and their families will escape from reality and enjoy downtime together."
