August 2, 2006--According to X Radio, Carrie Underwood tells Country Music Digest that her mom, Carole, now has to deal with fans who seek out the family's home in Checotah, Oklahoma. "We'll be sitting on our porch drinking a glass of tea and somebody will stop and ask if this is where Carrie lives," she says. More often than not, Carrie isn't there and the visitors ask if they can take a picture of the house. The family tries to be accommodating, but they’d rather not be in the shot, so they step inside. Carrie’s mom says they're just trying to maintain a normal life, noting, "We are just trying to stay who and what we are."
