Travis Tritt Records With Legendary Sam Moore and American Idol Judge Randy Jackson

March 30, 2006 — Travis Tritt joined Sam Moore of Sam & Dave fame last week in Austin, Texas, for an amazing performance of the Sam & Dave classic "When Something Is Wrong With My Baby," a song the pair had already recorded for Moore's upcoming new album (and a song Travis also recorded with R&B/soul legend Patti LaBelle in 1994). That album was produced by American Idol judge and noted music maker Randy Jackson. During that recording session, Jackson was so taken aback and impressed with Travis' soulful vocal he offered to help Travis record a special R&B-type album, noting he would love to be involved. Travis quickly shot back, "Yes," and a deal was agreed upon for Jackson to produce Travis' next CD. Travis expects the album to be completed by next summer, with a single released next spring.
