Alan Jackson's Precious Memories Goes Gold

Apr. 21, 2006—We're sure that Alan Jackson's mom considers her son's gospel album (initially recorded as a gift to her) timeless and priceless—but Alan's fans have helped take the CD, Precious Memories, to gold status in less than two months. It has held the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Top Christian Albums chart since its debut seven weeks ago, and it was the only gospel album ever to debut at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. Additionally, Alan has also become the first country artist in history to debut an album of all spiritual material at No. 1 on the Top Christian Albums and Top Christian & Gospel Albums charts.
