Martina McBride Channels Tammy Wynette On Tonight Show

June 20, 2006--Allaboutcountry.com reports that Martina McBride is set to perform on NBC's The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Wednesday, June 21. She will sing the Tammy Wynette classic, "'Til I Can Make It On My Own," from her multi-platinum selling album, Timeless.

"When I was singing ‘Til I Can Make It On My Own’ in the vocal booth, I could feel Tammy with me," says Martina. "I just felt like I had her blessing. She was always so nice to me and so sweet, and that’s what I felt when I sang this song. It gave me peace about doing it. I just wanted to pay tribute to her."
