November 28, 2006--Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson each filed divorce papers Monday seeking to end their marriage of less than four months. Representatives of the couple would not comment on the reason or any particulars of the divorce. Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, and Pamela each cited "irreconcilable differences" in their divorce filings in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
Pam posted the following message on her web site: "Yes, it's true. Divorce. Unfortunately impossible."
Last August 16, the couple tied the knot for the third time at Nashville's legendary Tootsie's Orchid Lounge on lower Broadway. Judge Frank Brown, who performed the Tennessee ceremony, told The Tennessean, "I was just surprised, real surprised. They just adored each other."
The couple first got together in spring 2001, became engaged in 2002, broke up the following year, and then reunited last July. They had reportedly purchased property in the small Tennessee town of Fairview last August.
The actress has two sons, Brandon, 10, and Dylan, 8, from her marriage to rocker Tommy Lee. Kid Rock, a Michigan native who owns a condo in Nashville, has a 13-year-old son, Bob Jr.
