May 24, 2007 — Eric Church wants his fan club members to put their hands to good use during this year's CMA Music Festival. He and his "Church Choir" will plant 25 trees in Music City's East Park on the morning of June 8 in a heartfelt, hands-on contribution to the growth and beautification of urban greenways and parks.

After the planting, Eric will perform an acoustic set to thank the participants. This Nashville event forms the first chapter of the "Tree Choir," which plans to continue its mission nationwide.

Eric says his effort to share a little bit of the country with every city in America is also representative of his music. "Those trees will be there long after we are, and I believe our songs will be as well," he explains. "It is also cool to know that every time the fans come to town, they can take their friends and loved ones by to show off our little choir forest."
