May 31, 2007 Alan Jackson, whose song "A Woman's Love" just cracked the Top 5 on Billboard's country chart, says he never envisioned his song sounding the way producer Alison Krauss envisioned it, and he admits it wasn't easy to sing it differently.
"No, I couldn't hear it this way, and I had a hard time learning it this way," he tells Dial-Global. "I kept hearing it my way. The phrasing was a little different on the chorus and the whole rhythm pattern everything was different. So it took me a while to lock in on it the way she wanted me to."
Alan says Alison actually made her own demo of the song with just her voice and a guitar to help him. "She has a great ear and she hears everything," he says. "She really thought it out. She's smart."
