June 26, 2007 — Crystal Gayle and Dwight Yoakam head the recipient list of 2008 inductees to the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum. They will be honored at an induction ceremony on February 21, 2008.

The recipients, who represent several genres of music, also include Florence Henderson, Norro Wilson and Les McCann. "This year's class includes some of the most recognizable music artists in the world," states the Hall of Fame. "The ceremony in February 2008 will feature performances by this year's class as well as some of this state's greatest music achievers."

Crystal, who is from Paintsville, Kentucky, is being recognized as one the most popular and widely recognized female country singers of her era, while Dwight, from Pikeville, is noted for his "stripped down" approach to traditional honky tonk and Bakersfield County.

The 2008 Class is the fourth Class of Inductees for the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame which was created in 2002 and holds an induction ceremony every two years.
