July 16, 2007 — This time around, Willie Nelson has opted to be off the road again. The American Statesman reports that Willie has canceled about a dozen midwestern dates from July 18 to August 4.
"He's just tired," said Willie's stage manager Poodie Locke. "We've done about a hundred shows this year, and Willie looked at the calendar and said, 'Let's reschedule these dates.' " Willie was finishing up the West Coast leg of his never-ending tour but now will take time off to rest after tonight's concert in Saratoga, Calif.
Willie is still set to will host Farm Aid in New York City on Sept. 9 and is scheduled to play the Austin Freedom Fest 2007 on Aug. 10, but his website shows no other dates from tonight until August 17.
