August 14, 2007 — After scoring a No. 1 hit as a songwriter with Billy Currington's "Good Directions," Luke Bryan releases his own debut CD to stores today. The album is titled I'll Stay Me and includes Luke's Top 20 single, "All My Friends Say."

Luke tells Dial-Global he plans to go to a store and purchase a few copies of the album for himself. "I'm gonna have to pick the perfect clerk at Wal-Mart or Best Buy or whatever to go buy my own CD and have a little fun with the person behind the desk," he says. "I'm certainly gonna do that. I've bought all of my friends' CDs when they came out, so I guess I can go buy mine. And I'm gonna require them to go buy it. You know, I scratched their back, they better help me out on the flip-side."

Even with the hectic schedule surrounding his album launch , Luke still made time to head to St. Louis to help out his friends Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa and pitcher Adam Wainwright for a charity event Saturday night. He arrived earlier in the day to catch the Cardinals win over the Dodgers and later that night, at the event, the three friends signed autographs for an hour before Luke played a full show for Tony's Animal Rescue Foundation.

Luke heads back to his home state of Georgia this week to celebrate the release of his album and will be in his hometown of Leesburg for an in-store event at the local Walmart, including a short performance and, of course, lots of autograph signing. He will then travel to nearby Perry for a performance at the Georgia National Fair with Dierks Bentley.
