October 16, 2007 — Miranda Lambert fans have grown accustomed to seeing her rock out on stage at her concerts, but she wasn't always that way. Miranda says she started out as more of a singer-songwriter type of person.

Miranda tells Dial-Global that the influence of a certain Australian artist helped shape her into the performer she is today. "I can really thank Keith Urban for kind of what turned me around — being on Keith Urban's tour — because it was my first tour ever," she says. "The first day we did our show and then went and watched Keith's whole show and it was like, 'This is pro ball here. We really need to step it up and bring our A game.' And we did. And ever since then I've just really tried to every night make tonight better than last night."
