January 8, 2008 — Dierks Bentley admits that he went overboard this New Year — overboard on making New Year's resolutions. He made a ton of them.
"I made like five main categories, with each category having three sub categories!" Dierks tells fans in his online journal. "What can I say, I have lots to improve on as a human being?!"
Dierks touches on a few of them, sharing that he plans to limit his use of plastic water bottles, which would fall in his "less wasteful category." He also wants to write more letters, noting, "that's in the 'better friend' one."
It's not an official resolution, but Dierks says in 2008 he plans to play for more intimate crowds in theater venues. "I think I might at some point go back and do a theater tour when the new album comes out," Dierks tells Dial-Global. "Just a little more intimate deal and at some point, I may do another big rock bar tour, maybe in the fall."
Dierks is working on his new album this month. He gets back on the bus for some shows in Florida in mid-February.
