Clint Black Finds Kids Grow Up Fast

February 6, 2008 — Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black are raising a 6-year-old daughter, Lily Pearl, and in the process, Clint's finding out first-hand that boys and girls have different views of the way relationships unfold.

Lily has had her first crush on a boy. She kept it a secret for a time, but she told her dad about it when he tucked her into bed one night.

"She said, 'I'll tell you. Today, I got in love with Cannon,'" Clint said to Dial-Global. "I think it's so different with girls because they are watching Cinderella and Snow White. They're watching love stories. And little boys aren't necessarily watching that stuff. So [to] girls, it's about finding the prince. And she said, 'Well, Cannon was so excited when I told him I was gonna marry him, but then he wasn't as excited when I said I'd have to kiss him.'"
