February 26, 2008 - Phil Vassar's current single, "Love Is A Beautiful Thing," is riding high in country music's Top 20, and it'll soon be available on a new album.

Phil is preparing for the release of his fourth studio project, Prayer Of A Common Man, on April 22. It marks the piano man's first release for Universal South Records and his first time to work with producer Mark Wright, noted for directing such hits as Brooks & Dunn's "Only In America," Lee Ann Womack's "I Hope You Dance" and Gretchen Wilson's "Redneck Woman."

"Prayer Of A Common Man paints a picture of my life," Phil says. "I'm thrilled that I was able to portray real-life moments through music on this album."

Meanwhile, the video for "Love Is A Beautiful Thing" — written by noted composers Craig Wiseman and Jeffrey Steele — is airing on GAC. Directed by the award-winning Peter Zavadil, it features real-life wedding pictures that were sent to Phil by his fans.
