March 27, 2008 - Josh Gracin and his wife, Ann-Marie, began their relationship during high school, although it was a rocky road for a while. The couple broke up twice in their early years, but their third try at it led to the altar.

So what attracted Josh to Ann-Marie at the beginning? Well, he says, "nothing."

"We were just kids and like, 'Oh, okay, she wants to date me? Okay, I will,'" he told the national radio show GAC Nights: Live From Nashville. "We started dating, and I loved the fact that — I love to feel like I'm needed ... and with her, she definitely needed me at that time with things that were going on with her life, and I guess that's what did it."

Josh channeled parts of their relationship into his current hit, "We Weren't Crazy," which looks back on a young couple that others thought was headed for disaster. He and Ann-Marie are now seven years into the marriage with three kids in tow. And he says his relationship with his wife is similar to the relationship he feels he has with his fans through the music.

"I like to take problems away," he said. "It makes me feel good that, you know, I've solved 'em, or I've taken 'em away, or I've made 'em better, or I've made somebody's life better. I think that's the main reason why I sing."

Josh's sophomore album, aptly titled We Weren't Crazy, will be released Tuesday.
