May 12, 2008 — A year ago, Taylor Swift had one of the highlight moments at the Academy of Country Music Awards when she sang her song "Tim McGraw" directly to Tim in the audience.

This year, she’s back at the 43rd annual show with three more nominations. The one she values the most is for Album of the Year.

"The Album nomination is such an honor," she explains. "I put this album out when I was 16, and I made sure each song was about where I was in my life. The songs are about sophomore relationships, because that’s what I knew when I wrote it. My goal was to be as real and honest as possible, and I think we accomplished that."

She also accomplished more in sales than she ever dreamed. The Taylor Swift album has been certified triple-platinum for shipments of 3 million units.

In addition to Album of the Year, Taylor’s in the running for Top Female and Top New Female Vocalist at this Sunday’s show, which airs live on CBS from Las Vegas.
