May 14, 2008 — Taylor Swift has signed up to appear in advertising this year for the L.e.i. clothing line, manufactured by Jones Apparel. The deal will feature Taylor surrounded by a variety of jeans and tops made for young girls with the slogan "This is L.e.i. Country."

L.e.i. "stands for Life, Energy, Intelligence, and I just thought that was really cool," Taylor told Dial-Global. "We’ve loved working with them, and the photo shoot that we did was so much fun. Their new line is gonna be at Wal-Mart exclusively. Wal-Mart has been such a great partner for us as far as music, [and] I’m really excited having that. I’m really excited about having some stuff in the jeans section, a doll in the toy department and music in the music section. I’m pumped!"

The ads are expected to appear in Teen Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Seventeen and Us Weekly. In the meantime, look for Taylor this Sunday on the 43rd annual Academy of Country Music Awards. She’s nominated in three different categories: Top Female, Top New Female and Album of the Year.
