May 27, 2008 Commencement ceremonies are taking place at high schools and colleges all across the U.S., and one graduate whos got it pretty good this year is Tennessee senior Taylor Swift. Shes been homeschooled, and she worked so hard at her studies last year that she only had to take two classes this year to make it to graduation day. Picking the two classes was pretty easy.
"I chose public speaking and musical performance," she laughingly told the national radio show GAC Nights: Live From Nashville. "So I kind of coasted my senior year, as seniors usually do. Musical performance: I was on tour with Rascal Flatts and Brad Paisley, so that occurred every night me singing in front of people happened a lot this year. And public speaking: Every single time I did a radio interview, every single time I got on stage and said, How we doin, Houston? you know, thats public speaking. So, senior years been pretty good."
To say the least. Taylor went triple-platinum with her debut album, she made the covers of Seventeen magazine and Rolling Stone, and she was listed among People magazines 100 Most Beautiful People. With all of that, shes clearly already started on her job even before she graduates high school. Shes expected to receive her diploma in June.
