June 11, 2008 Dan Seals, who strung together 16 Top 10 country hits in an intense run from 1984-1990, is on the mend as he finishes radiation treatments for lymphoma in Houston.
"The prognosis is good," manager Tony Gottlieb told the Associated Press. "He has the best medical care he can get, and hes in good spirits."
Dans been receiving treatment in Texas for four months and is expected to undergo a stem cell transplant after radiation is concluded.
Dan originally came to prominence as one-half of the 1970s pop duo England Dan & John Ford Coley, best known for "Id Really Love To See You Tonight." After breaking away for his country career, Dan shared the Country Music Associations Vocal Duo of the Year honor with Marie Osmond, for "Meet Me In Montana"; and claimed the CMAs Single of the Year with "Bop." Among his other country successes are "Love On Arrival," "Big Wheels In The Moonlight," "Good Times" and "Everything That Glitters (Is Not Gold)."
