July 9, 2008 — In a run that lasted less than two months, Tim McGraw put together some impressive numbers on his Live Your Voice Tour. He drew nearly 500,000 fans and grossed almost $20 million on the 34-date stretch, which began May 9 in Tampa and concluded Sunday in Pittsburgh.

A sponsorship deal that tied into the tour introduced fans to McGraw’s Spicy Jalapeno Fritos, and Tim brought along Jason Aldean, the Warren Brothers, Halfway To Hazard, Lance Miller and Catherine Raney. Tim used the tour to familiarize his fans with three new songs — "Southern Voice," "You Had To Be There" and "Still" — which are expected to appear on his next studio album, currently in production.

Of course, the tour also created a lot of unexpected publicity when Tim pulled an unruly fan on stage in Washington State and got him booted for allegedly attacking a female fan. The expelled man later insisted that he was not inebriated and that he did not attack anyone — though he did admit he was in a hurry to get back to his seat to see Tim sing "Indian Outlaw."

Some other fans disputed the man’s story, and Jason Aldean — who saw the whole incident — sides with Tim.

"If we’re on stage playing and there’s two guys going at it, that’s one thing," Jason told the national radio show GAC Nights: Live From Nashville. "If there’s two girls going at it, that’s one thing — whatever. I think in this case, he was a big guy, and apparently right in front of Tim. He grabbed this girl by the hair or something, and [Tim] just kind of went off on the guy. And for that, I have even more respect for the guy. My hat’s off to Tim for handling it the way he [did]. It was all good."

With the Live Your Voice Tour behind him, Tim’s next live date is his Swampstock charity event in Rayville, La. It’s set for Saturday, Sept. 13.
