July 14, 2008 — Ten years after Tammy Wynette died, her memory is being reincarnated in an other-worldly manner in "Sordid Lives: The Series."

Based on the movie of the same name, the Logo cable series features Georgette Jones — the only daughter Tammy had during her celebrated marriage to George Jones — guesting as the ghost of Tammy on the first two episodes, beginning July 23. Georgette will be on the red carpet Tuesday when the TV series gets its world premiere screening at New World stages in New York.

"I hope country music embraces this very talented woman and she becomes the star that she deserves to be," writer-director Del Shores says. "Besides all that talent, Georgette is just good people. Her mama would be so proud of her. I know I am."

While Georgette is playing her mom on TV, she’s also working with her dad on CD. She duets with George on "You And Me And Time," which appears on the album Burn Your Playhouse Down: The Unreleased Duets. The project is due Aug. 19.
