July 17, 2008 — Darryl Worley, Willie Nelson and Lorrie Morgan are among the artists who have new albums coming — all with something in common, according to Country Aircheck. Each of them is working under agreements with a brand new label, Stroudavarious Records.

The label’s formation was officially announced yesterday, its structure created by noted producer James Stroud. A former session drummer, he’s produced such significant hits as Emerson Drive’s "I Should Be Sleeping," Jimmy Wayne’s "Stay Gone," Little Texas’ "God Blessed Texas," Toby Keith’s "How Do You Like Me Now?!" and Tim McGraw’s "Angry All The Time."

In addition to the albums for Darryl, Willie and Lorrie, Stroudavarious is also assembling a compilation album that will benefit the city of Enterprise, Ala., which was hit by a nasty tornado in March 2007. Former Grammy nominee Deborah Allen is contributing to the project, and her website indicates Darryl, Lorrie, John Anderson, Tracy Lawrence, Aaron Tippin and Clint Black will also be part of it.

Interestingly, James Stroud was the head of Giant Records’ Nashville division when the label issued another compilation album, Common Thread: Songs Of The Eagles. That project — which, like this new one, also featured John Anderson, Lorrie Morgan and Clint Black — won the Country Music Association’s Album of the Year honor in 1994.
