July 25, 2008 — Taylor Swift launched a Wal-Mart-exclusive CD/DVD combo last week, and the project was such a hit with fans that it helped the 18-year-old singer sew up the top two positions on the Billboard Country Albums chart.

Beautiful Eyes, which features two previously unreleased songs and alternate versions of several others, sold 44,652 copies in its first week. Meanwhile, the Taylor Swift album netted sales of 34,622 units to finish second on the chart. Randy Travis’ new Around The Bend CD comes in at No. 3.

With Taylor’s ongoing success, lots of people — particularly young, aspiring artists — want to know what advice she might have for them. While that situation is still a little shocking for her, Taylor is more than happy to help if she can.

"I look at my heroes that I had when I was growing up," she told Dial-Global. "If there's a new artist that comes up to me and starts talkin' to me, I think, 'How would I have wanted another artist to treat me when I was 16 and putting out a single?' You know, treat people how you want to be treated."

Taylor received excellent treatment from Rascal Flatts when she toured with them at age 16, which is why she’s back on the road with them this summer. The Bob That Head Tour visits Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, on Friday; Bristow, Va., Saturday; and Bethel, N.Y., Sunday.
