Aug. 21, 2008 — Tim McGraw’s Swampstock charity concert in Rayville, La., will benefit from a family connection, some tour buddies and a tit-for-tat trade when the show goes down on Sept. 13.

The event, which occurs every other year, will feature Tim’s wife, Faith Hill; Live Your Voice Tour mates Jason Aldean, Halfway To Hazard and Catherine Raney; plus Dierks Bentley, who’s likewise getting Tim’s participation in his own charitable endeavor.

Held at the Richland Parish Courthouse, this year’s Swampstock will feature the first-time-ever participation of Habitat For Humanity, which will start refurbishing the Rayville Recreation Center Sept. 9, with plans to have the job completed by the time the concert begins.

"We are anxious to return this year with an amazing lineup of artists," Tim says. "In addition to supporting Rayville Youth Baseball and the Steve Colvin Scholarships, it’s great to add Habitat For Humanity of Ouachita and keep the focus on helping the local community. I’m encouraging everyone to help us make this one of the most successful Swampstocks ever."

Tim founded Swampstock in 1994. Through the years, guest performers have included Tracy Lawrence, Mark Chesnutt, Martina McBride, Chris Cagle, The Warren Brothers and Big & Rich, among others.

Tim and John Rich are both on tap to participate in Dierks’ Miles And Music For Kids charity motorcycle ride on Oct. 5 in Nashville.
