Aug. 21, 2008 — Jessica Simpson and Pat Green have both found themselves on a collision course with beer cans: For Jessica, it’s money in the bank; for Pat, it likely caused a headache — and not from a hangover.

Jessica has aligned herself with Dallas’ Stampede Brewery, becoming the spokeswoman for Stampede Light Plus.

"Yes," she says, "I work out and take care of myself, but I also like a cold beer once in a while."

Stampede Light is being marketed as an alcoholic beverage for active people, and it’s actually enhanced with Vitamin B. Jessica has another reason for enjoying it: According to The Dallas Morning News, she’s picked up a 15 percent stake in the company.

Look for Jessica to be performing Sept. 13 at a venue filled with beer drinkers. She’s playing in Phoenix that night after the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball game, The Arizona Republic reported.

Pat Green, meanwhile, got pelted with a beer — literally — during a performance after NASCAR’s Carfax 250. Playing at the Michigan International Speedway, he asked the crowd 75 minutes into his set if anybody had a cold one. According to The Jackson Citizen Patriot, Pat was tossed one can of suds, and while he was offering his thanks, a second can — full and unopened — hit him right between the eyes. The newspaper report indicated he was knocked unconscious, though he was revived on the premises. It did, however, put an end to the show.
