Oct. 6, 2008 Is the cell phone a health risk? Recent studies have been inconclusive, but theyve provided enough reason for concern that some medical experts have suggested ways to cut exposure to the devices frequencies.
One person whos already found ways to reduce exposure is Kellie Pickler, who makes a valiant attempt at being unreachable.
"I hate cell phones," she told Dial-Global. "The only reason why I have mine is for work... that's it. If I didn't do what I do, I wouldn't even own one. I hate talking on the phone; I'm just not a fan of it at all. It's funny because I have one with me all the time, but it's just for work."
Kellie can be accessed via phone when shes on the job, but whenever shes got downtime, you can pretty much forget getting her attention unless you know where shes staying and reach her via landline.
"The most peace I've ever had," she said, "is when I go on vacation and I don't take my phone with me."
One call she might want to take this week involves her new album. Kellie, GACs Fan Focus Artist for October, released her sophomore album last Tuesday, and shell find out this week where she debuts on the Billboard country albums chart.
