Nov. 13, 2008 — When Taylor Swift’s Fearless album was originally slated for release this week, she had no idea just how much good juju would surround her.

In addition to the CD’s release, she sang "Love Story" on "The 42nd Annual CMA Awards" and had "Teardrops On My Guitar" honored at the BMI Awards as the Country Song of the Year. "Love Story" went to No. 1 on the country singles charts. And putting icing on the cake, she got thumbs-up reviews from Rolling Stone, The New York Times and The New Yorker — publications that pay very little attention to country — in addition to positive marks from People, Billboard and Entertainment Weekly.

It’s all heady stuff for an 18-year-old, but Taylor — GAC’s Artist of the Month for November — is doing her best to take it all in stride.

"I feel like I’m the same person that I was when I started out all this craziness," she told The Tennessean. "I just have a different schedule now. I am so excited that I’m getting to do all of these magazine covers and interviews and these insane TV appearances and going to all-genre awards shows. That is what I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve always wanted to be so busy I couldn’t stand it."

Two all-genre awards shows are on tap for her in the coming months. She’s slated to appear on the American Music Awards Nov. 23. She’s also a double nominee for the People’s Choice Awards, slated for Jan.7.
