Nov. 17, 2008 — Taylor Swift’s romance with Joe Jonas, of the Jonas Brothers, may not have gone so well, but Taylor remains enamored with the prospect of real love, which is part of the reason she decided to title her latest album Fearless. It’s built around a song with the same name.

"What drew me to that [album] title is writing that song about it and that fearlessness of falling in love," Taylor told the national radio show GAC Nights: Live From Nashville. "No matter how many times you’ve been hurt, you have to have this undying belief that love can last forever. We all do. We all somewhere deep inside us believe in that or else we wouldn’t keep on going back."

Taylor’s relationship with Joe drew plenty of media speculation during the summer, though neither of them were willing to confirm it, until it all ended. At that point, Taylor admitted that it ended in a 27-second phone call, though Joe insists it wouldn’t have been that short a conversation if Taylor had not hung up on him.

Taylor and Joe may be a thing of the past, but her Fearless album is very much still happening. In fact, on its first day of release last week, the CD sold more than 217,000 copies, making it a sure thing to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard country album chart.

Taylor is GAC’s Artist of the Month for November.
