Nov. 19, 2008 Montgomery Gentry is presenting a first in country music with the launch of the "Roll With Me" video in a panorama format.
Located at hearsomethingcountry.com, the clip allows the viewer to watch from any angle by scrolling across the screen. "Roll With Me" was shot in San Francisco by Steven L. Weaver, who used a lens attachment that incorporates a mirrored ball to capture multiple angles. The process eventually yields a full 360-degree view of the footage.
"Ive been waiting to shoot 360 degree for years now," Steven says. "The camera and lens rig were mounted to the front of the truck, allowing us to see where we were going and where we were coming from. Driving through the city created such a cool rolling effect, which was perfect for Roll With Me."
Its like "bein there in Eddie [Montgomery] and mines shoes, being able to see that whole picture," Troy Gentry told Dial-Global.
Even if Eddie isnt able to make the computer function properly.
"If I touch it, I'll lock it up, I promise you," Eddie laughed. "I don't know why, I'm not that guy."
"Roll With Me" is currently lodged at No. 3 on the Mediabase country singles chart in USA Today.
