Nov. 19, 2008 — Kristy Lee Cook came to prominence this year as a contestant on "American Idol," and her rejuvenated career as a country artist presents a bit of a travel problem.
Kristy Lee is from Oregon, and the air travel to and from Nashville can chew up plenty of time. As a result, she’s looking for a place in Music City, though she’s not buying.
"I’m thinkin’ of gettin’ an apartment or something here, but I’m looking to stay by where my family is," she says.
But that still might mean a change of cities, which could ease her travel issues while keeping her in close proximity to her relatives.
"I’m actually looking in Colorado, by Denver," she notes. "My sister lives there. It’s kinda near family."
It’s been two months since her debut album was released, but Kristy Lee is still getting adjusted to the demands of promotion.
"It’s been crazy on this side of it and seein’ what all goes into making an album, and red carpets and videos," she says. "I was so excited to shoot the music video because I’d never done one. That was like the most fun. Oh my gosh, I had a blast."
The video for "15 Minutes Of Shame" can be seen on GAC. Kristy Lee can also be seen in Las Vegas with a performance at the Academy of Country Music’s stage Dec. 6 during the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.
